Here’s another iron pontil Baltimore made soda or mineral (or perhaps a lager), circa 1850’s. This example has a distinctive, short, squared off blob (with a thick top edge) which is found on only one other Baltimore soda in my collection. The color is powdery blue-aqua with less green tone than most of Baltimore’s deep aquas.
Though unembossed, this example is rare, and is the only example I have ever handled. The bottle has been cleaned and has light remaining wear with some wear to the exterior sides of the blob. There is no damage at all and it displays perfectly in a sunlit window.
